Reale Actives, UNHYPE and GoPure: What 2026’s Big Skincare Launches Actually Sold

Skincare launches in 2026 have come with headline numbers attached. Sold out in hours, crores in two weeks, double the forecast. Those figures make great headlines, but they mean different things depending on who is reporting them and what is being counted.

Here is a look at three launches that drew real coverage this year, one from the US creator economy, one from India, and one retail debut, along with the context behind the numbers.

Reale Actives: a creator brand that sold out on day one

Reale Actives is the acne-focused skincare brand from creator Alix Earle, developed with New York dermatologist Dr. Kiran Mian. It went on sale through its own website on March 31, 2026, with four products: a cleansing balm, an LHA and BHA gel cleanser, an 8% mandelic acid serum and a barrier moisturiser. At launch, prices ran from $28 to $39, with a full routine kit at $118, according to Sports Illustrated’s lifestyle desk.

How it performed

  • The full lineup sold out within about 10 hours of going live, as reported by SI Lifestyle.
  • Fortune reported in September that the brand hit $5 million in sales on its first day and sold out by 4 p.m.
  • The same Fortune piece said 80% of sales have been the full routine kit, not single products.
  • A restock arrived on April 28, along with two new duo kits.
  • The first new product since launch, a serum called Go Calm, was previewed by Fortune ahead of its release in late September.

The context

Earle has about 15 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, according to Fortune. A day-one sellout shows how well a large, loyal audience converts into orders. It does not show whether people repurchase after the first bottle runs out. That second number is the one that decides whether a brand lasts, and it has not been made public.

The focus on acne-prone skin, a short four-product lineup and a dermatologist partner also fits a wider 2026 pattern: fewer steps, gentler actives and more clinical credibility.

UNHYPE: a three-step routine built for Indian conditions

UNHYPE is a skincare brand co-founded by actor Vijay Deverakonda. Entrepreneur India reported that it launched with two “VD Signature Routines”, one for acne-prone skin and one for tan and dullness. Each routine has three products, a face wash, a moisturiser and a sunscreen, and was priced at ₹1,299. The brand positions its products around Indian heat, humidity, sweat, pollution and hard water, and targets the 18 to 30 age group.

How it performed

Pre-booking opened on September 11, with shipping starting September 21. According to a piece published on CNBC-TV18 on October 7, the launch edition of 10,000 routines, or 30,000 individual products, sold out within two weeks and generated ₹1.3 crore in revenue. The brand said regular versions of both routines would go on sale on its website from October 3.

The context

That CNBC-TV18 piece is labelled as coming from its advertorial team, so the figures are brand-reported rather than independently audited. That does not make them wrong, but it is worth knowing. On its product page, UNHYPE says its sunscreen is rated SPF 50 PA++++ and was tested both in-vivo and in-vitro by an independent lab, and that the routine is non-comedogenic and dermatologically tested.

Pricing a three-product routine at around ₹1,300 places it in the same space as many popular Indian direct-to-consumer brands, which suggests the brand is competing on value as much as on star power.

GoPure: proof that a viral brand can work on a store shelf

GoPure is not a new brand, but its move into physical retail became one of 2026’s clearer success stories. Beauty Independent reported in April that GoPure rolled out to 1,800 Target stores across the US in December. Since then, according to the brand:

  • Sales beat the forecast by 100% in the first month and by 18% to date.
  • Its Tighten & Lift Neck Cream sold more than 30,000 units at Target.
  • It landed among Target’s top 10 premium skincare brands.

Each product in its Target lineup is priced at $39.99. Before entering stores, GoPure had sold 1.5 million items on TikTok Shop, the brand told Beauty Independent.

The context

The same report cites market research firm Circana, which found that mass skincare grew 6% last year compared with 3% for prestige. Shoppers have been trading towards products that promise results without luxury pricing, and GoPure’s numbers fit that shift. As with the other launches, the figures come from the company itself.

How to read launch numbers as a shopper

Sales figures are marketing as much as data. A few quick checks help:

  • Who is reporting the number? Independent reporting and brand press releases are not the same thing.
  • What is being counted? Revenue, units, kits and pre-orders all tell different stories.
  • Is there a repeat-purchase signal? Restocks and new product releases suggest demand is holding.
  • Does the formula suit the skin in question? A sellout says nothing about whether a mandelic acid serum or a cooling face wash will work for a specific skin type.

A fast sellout is a sign of strong interest. Whether a product deserves a permanent spot in a routine is still a matter of ingredients, skin type and patience.
